When chin implants are placed in conjunction with other cosmetic surgical procedures, such as a Neck/Lift, the medical-grade implant may be inserted through the incisions made for those procedures. Otherwise, an incision is made inside the mouth along the lower lip, or in the skin just under the chin area. A pocket is then formed and the specifically designed implant is placed. In both cases an enhanced chin projection is achieved.
